At Daytime Projects Inc John-Michael directs the company's international
global network of designers, specialists and thinkers.
He started his diverse design career in 1985 as Creative Director
at IKEA of Sweden where he developed creative platforms for style positioning
and new business initiatives. His twelve years of experience at IKEA led him to
start Daytime Projects Inc. in NYC.
While at Daytime Projects, John-Michael has used his practical art sense
and fuse it with think-tanking and customizing trend and lifestyle forecasts,
while working toward strategic design and product development for clients like Razorfish,
BIC, Material ConneXion to mention a few.
From 2001 - 2005 John-Michael served as Tupperware’s Vice President of Global Design.
His influential design work at Tupperware furthered the brand’s mission to create
innovative and surprising solutions for the kitchen and home.
Most recently He directed the product and brand development for
Real Simple magazine, a Time Inc. publication.
He is a proven leader in the convergence of global design and lifestyle trends
into new business concepts, and is frequently featured in numerous publications,
both nationally and internationally.
